Decontaminating

Just in time for this deployment to be coming to a close, Ruby decided today was the day to start projectile vomiting.

Because, of course she did!

I spent until the late hour of 11:30 last night sewing skirts for Kyra and Lydia out of left over digital uniform pants to wear pier side, today I had planned to cut and sew Ruby a skirt too.  The only place we had to go today was out to get more elastic for the waistbands.

Instead, I called Rebecca (the friend I keep asking if she comes in pocket size because of how handy, awesome and reliable she is), and asked her if she could scour up some 3/4in elastic for me.  And also, some Pedialyte.

I figure if Ruby is sick, someone else is going to fall and I'll need back-up fluids.

I'm not sure if Ruby grabbed this bug from Lydia, who I thought had a bout with cross contaminated food, or a shopping cart handle she decided she needed to mouth.  Lydia presented very differently than Ruby is but, then again, viruses are tricky little bitches like that.

If you'll excuse me, I'm going to spend the rest of my day decontaminating my house.  I was planning to sew and finish the laundry but decontaminating seems a bit more important, suddenly.

Hmph.
