Oh my GOODNESS! You really could use a pause button right about now. The five year benchmark is a tough one for Mommy's (at least from my experience. It begins an entirely new era of their lives. A fun one but a sad one at the same time. As for Lydia and the crib climbing... yikes! That's scary but also removes the safety zone Mom needs every once in a while for a break or the calming of a meltdown. I'll hunt down a pause button for you today at Staples. They should have one right, or at least an Easy Button.
I think 5 would be much harder if I were sending her off to school. I think the idea that I still get to have my little girl (and don't tell her I just called her that, she'll get VERY upset!) home with me ever day stops that heart ache just a bit.
None the less, I would settle for an Easy Button. If you find one let me know. Because it would be MUCH easier if we could just slow things down! Haha!
