Kyra has a Halloween costume.
Two weeks ago she had it narrowed down to a:
~pumpkin
~sea witch
~butterfly
~princess
~and about 8 more that I can't think of right now.
This weekend she finally decided she really, really, really wanted to be a lady bug. So we set off to find a non-skimpy, warmer version of a lady bug costume. The only one we found was $30, and I'm too realistic to pay that much money for something she's going to wear for one night.
Today she settled on a $15 sea witch costume. (side note: Kyra calls all witches "sea witches" thanks to the Little Mermaid movie) What's even better is that it is a dress she can get herself in and out of (for the most part) and will become a dress up toy when Halloween is over with.
So there.. two weeks until Halloween and we have a costume. Task one down. Task two is to send our kid out to gather as much candy as she can find- all for Mommy and Daddy to eat when she's not looking.
Don't look at me like that. I'll share the smarties and dum dum pops with her...
I'm jealous - I don't have a costume yet. I haven't even tried to look for one. I'll start panicking next week.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you explained what a sea witch was. I was about to Google it.
