My Nest... Is Full of Food

Its that time again.

The one where everyone and their mother tells you, you're nesting.

Or, as I like to call it, PREPARING FOR THE APOCALYPSE!

So far, I have washed and sorted all the baby clothes and blankets; directed Jeremy how to organize the changing table into a functional changing table; watched Jeremy put the new carseat and stroller together with the giddy excitement of Christmas morning surprises; bought a new diaper bag, since the one we both remember seeing pre-move is no longer to be found post-move (neither Jer nor myself remember trowing it out or donating it, either...); and started putting together the food bag to drop off with the girls Sunday night (lunches and snacks are done!)

I also had my last check up today, one week before Eviction Day, and recieved great news.... I've already lost a pound!  This is, apparently, after I have failed to gain any weight the last two previous weeks' visits.  I call this a SCORE!  The nurse didn't look quite as excited, mumbling something about I should be gaining at least a pound a week by this point.

So I celebrated by grabbing a Coke Icee from Burger King on the way home.  And then celebrated again with ColdStone deliciousness later in the evening.

I wonder if that pound is back on...?

Six days left, and two frozen suppers left to prepare.

I think the good thing about watching my children means you'll never have to actually fully prepare and cook a thing.  I'm not sure if it's because I feel like my friends are too careless to make Lydia safe meals, or if I'm to afraid they'll resent me for having to prepare a Lydia safe meal.

Either way, meals are covered.  And if this is my last ditch effort at nesting, I guess it's not so bad.

At least I'm not having Jeremy help me wash tiny fingerprints off the walls like I did when pregnant with Lydia....
