Happy [Music] Place

Why has no one told me about Mumford and Sons?

I'm addicted to this group.  Hopelessly, pointlessly, neglecting my life's duties kind of addicted.

I think my favorite song might be either Timshel, Sigh No More or White Blank Page because they are simply beautiful songs.  But I also wouldn't count out Little Lion Man as my favorite for it's wonderful use of the word "Fucked" in the chorus.

Never underestimate the power of a great cuss word said with a British accent.

Though, my favorite songs may even be The Cave and Dust Bowl Dance, as it was the first songs I heard/video watched and had the overwhelming urge to stomp my foot through the whole damned thing.

Certainly couldn't be because I interpret The Cave to be a giant Fuck. You. song and in Dust Bowl he happily sings about and admits to murder.

[Why, yes, I'm actaully in a GREAT mood, why would do you question?]

I bought the CD today.  I never buy CD's.  There isn't a single song on there I don't love in one way or another.  Best ten dollars I've spent in a while.
"So come out of your cave walking on your hands
And see the world hanging upside down
You can understand dependence
When you know the maker's hand

So make your siren's call
And sing all you want
I will not hear what you have to say

Because I need freedom now
And I need to know how
To live my life as it's meant to be

And I will hold on hope
And I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck

And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again"
I've found my happy place in life again, that's for sure.  It didn't take finding a fantastic new band to do it, but... it doesn't hurt.

  2. The funny thing, which I forgot to write about, is the Huz came home back in June with this band's name on his hand and said, "I think you'd really like this band," to which, I replied, "I bet they're just like the other crappy music you listen to." Imagine my amazement when I realized he actually found a half decent band we can agree on!
