The Strangest Thing Happened Today

You all should be very proud of me, I did something I really, really didn't want to do and dreaded doing with every fiber of my being...

I dropped the girls off at a friends house today while I went to my appointment.

I'm happy to report, Lydia didn't SCREAM BLOODY FUCKING MURDER while I was away.  In fact, she didn't even cry.  Not even a little bit.  Didn't even seem to miss me.  I was completely enthralled and also a little bit sad.

I'm not sure what happened, but apparently since turning 2 she's lost her devilish, I HATE THE WORLD, charm.

It's almost like she's becoming a sweet child.  I don't know what to make of her.

Not that this softer side of Lydia is a bad thing.... just completely unexpected and out of nowhere.

Strange.  Very strange.  But I like it.  2 is going to be a good year.  The phrase Terrible 2's is going to be replaced with Good bye Terrible, hello 2!  What took you so long?

  1. I'm proud of you for keeping your resolution to make your health a bit higher of a priority. And, for your sake, I hope Lydia's changed temperament is permanent.

  3. Joelle- I'm working on it! And I agree... I hope Lydia's happy demeanor is here to stay! I've had enough of colic, not quite colic but not much better, at least she smiles more then she screams and don't mention colic and maybe it won't come back! Whew, it's been a long two years!

CJ- Best way to get a hold of me is email. The worst way to get a hold of me is text. My phone practically lives in my car whether I'm with it or not.

  4. I'm proud of you for going to that appointment as well. When taking care of the little ones and wanting to make your family happy, we tend to forget about ourselves.
