Lets Just Say...

You have a 2 year old daughter who enjoys bouncing off the walls, fighting naps, driving Mommy up the wall and talking to ghosts for over 4 hours when she's supposed to be going to bed. Now, lets also say you've found your child behaves much better when she is enrolled in some random class that lets her get all her energy out for an hour or so several times a week.

Knowing all of that, what would you do? Gymnastics, Ballet or both?

  1. You are the one that knows her best, so it is hard to say. Do you think she could handle both without getting overly tired? If it were me, I would start with one and see how that goes. Then if she's doing so well, I would try adding in the other. Sounds like fun! I can't WAIT until Aeralyn is old enough to do something.

  2. OMG BOTH!!!!!!! (lol) I feel your pain, totally. Enroll her in both and INSIST the sessions go for like 4 hours each. ;)

  3. BOTH! But my reasons because I love all little girls to be as girlie as possible(Hence Kenzie's bows- hope seh doesn't rebel and take up a sport like basketball)!!

Aww, I can hardly wait to see Kyra in a tutu and her gymnist outfits!!

    Yay!!

  4. One at a time, I think. Or maybe start one and then evaluated how busy your schedule is. Remember that once these classes turn into events (especially ballet), you're the one who has to drive her to class, rehearsals, and performances, as well as make costumes, etc. I know quite a few moms who wish their children weren't quite as involved as they are. These things can be a big commitment.

  5. If you want her to use up all of that energy, I would think gymnastics would be more appropriate. I took ballet, and I don't remember it being very fast paced.

  6. B/c of her body composition i would say gymnastics she has the short powerfull legs with the lengthy body like you. But b/c i am a ballet fan i would be inclined for that-still wish mom forced me into it when she gave me the chance. Not sure if both at the same time to begin with would be the best idea- but she does seem to like the balance beam so start gymnastics first. then ballet if she is interested.
