Day 4-Lack of Sleep

That's right, day 4 people. And yesterday, I even told him that it would be nice if he would get up with her in the middle of the night once in a while. Boy was I just waisting precious oxygen.

She cried at 4. I got up, shushed her back to sleep. She cried at 6. I put her back to bed while my loving husband rolled over to get more comfortable.

His alarm goes off at 6:15. Must have been nice to get those few more minutes of extra sleep.

To top it off, I bet it was a nice 30 minute shower he took while I listened to her scream in my ear as I begged her to lay down with me.

**As my sister pointed out to me yesterday, I sounded pitiful and pathetic complaining about having to get out of bed before 7 in the morning. My point to the story was that I have had to get up before 7 after having already been up all night. Now, someone feel bad? Aside from Heather, who, from her comment, has been in my shoes and knows how I'm feeling.

  1. Toss her in a box and ship her to Georgia - I'll babysit her for a few days while you catch up on your sleep.

  2. I think that may be illegal... something about inhumane treatment and child abuse?

But, I will be in SAV in just over two weeks, and if she keeps this up, she is sooooo having a sleepover at your house!

  3. Lilly would love it! They could stay up all night and keep each other company, while I sleep.

  4. I have to say that I am very lucky because while I am sleep deprived because my little munchkin likes to eat every couple of hours during the night, I have yet to have a night where she is crying, grumpy or just won't go back to sleep. I know I should not have just typed that because TONIGHT will be the night she decides to pull a screamfest.

Don't feel bad, Aaron has never gotten up with Aeralyn either. I know he is secretly glad that I am breastfeeding and he has never had to do any of the nightime feedings. But oh if I wasn't, you can bet I would make him get up every once in a while, especially on the weekends or something!

  5. Reading this is exactly why I am not having children. I am not a GOOD person, when I don't have enough sleep! Like I could kill someone and not think twice! What day are you coming to GA? Beacuse I am heading up there in about a week and a half and if you are going to be there we could so have a blogger girls night out! Let me know!

I do feel bad for you sis! but i agree with CJ when i say this is just one reason why kids are in the long distance future if i can say anything about it! just think, you can make mom get up happily when you come down!
