At Least I'm Going In A Handbasket

Would you guys consider me to be an overly vain person if every time I pass a mirror...

I now stop, look, smile gleefully and acknowledge that I am one sexy bitch.

I blame it on the new haircut.

Isn't vanity one of the seven deadly sins? Does that mean I'll be going to Hell?

  1. Vanity is a venial sin. That means it's one of the seven deadlies, but it won't put you in hell as fast as pride or greed or one of the big one's. Committing a deadly sin doesn't mean you're going straight to hell. It just means that if you let the sin rule your life, you'll get farther and farther away from God.

But quite apart from the theology lecture, what woman doesn't stop to admire a new haircut? Especially if it looks good. There's a difference between appreciating how good you feel and worshipping how well you look. As long as you're not demanding that other people think about nothing else, I think you'll be okay.

  2. just make sure to keep your priorities straight. don't stand in front of the mirror all day at the expense of Kyra's well-being ... no matter how sexy you are! ;)

  3. You look GREAT!

More importantly...MUCH MORE IMPORTANTLY....you are a great Mother and a good and faithful Wife.

It IS the new doo. An attractive woman with a relatively radical new hair style is MORE attractive when the new doo works so well for her.

    That'd be you.

I bet it's pretty good for Jeremy too. Big smile on his face??

    YAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!

  5. Make sure that you and Lindsey save me a spot! I do the same thing when I get a new haircut, or when I'm just having a good day. I think it's important to teach our girls self confidence and how to take pride in their appearance.
